Wafer type is one of the most common types of valves in industrial pipe system. It is relatively small in structure, so you only need to put the wafer type into the middle of the flanges at both ends of the pipe, make the studs through the pipe flanges and lock the wafer type to control the fluid media of pipeline. Wafer type is particularly suitable for places where the space is narrow or the distance between pipes is short. If the wafer type is in full open position, the butterfly plate thickness will be the only resistance when the media pass through the valve body, so the pressure drop produced by the valve is very small. That’s why it has better flow control characteristics. Instructions before the installation of wafer type:
1. Remove the objects externalities from the pipe by air purging and wash the inside of the pipe with clean water before the installation.
2. Check whether the valve usage meets its performance specifications carefully (temperature, pressure) .
3. Check whether there is sundry in the valve channel and on the sealing surface, and remove the sundry timely.
4. The valve should be installed timely after unpacking. Do not loose n anyfastening screws or nuts on the valve.
5. Wafer type must use special butterfly valve flange pieces.
6. Electric butterfly can be installed in the pipeline with any angle. Do not reverse the installation for the convenience of maintenance.
7. Make sure that the flange face and sealing rubber are aligned, the screws are tightened evenly and the sealing surfaces are fitted
completely when you install the butterfly valve flange. If the screws are tightened unevenly, the rubber will bulge and jam or prop the
butterfly plate, causing leakage at the valve stem.
